Sheffield Landlady Mahara Haque shared her experience getting two private sector rented homes retrofitted as part of the Let Zero project.

Haque shared how knowing the impact of carbon on the planet, combined with working with vulnerable tenants- her company, ‘My Landlord Cares’ works with 40% vulnerable tenants, many of whom struggle with energy costs- motivated her to get involved with the scheme. She offered two adjacent terraced houses to be converted into a ‘Show Home’ showcasing a range of retrofit technologies, from a new external wall insulation product to an air-source heat pump and solar panels.
